Britney Spears lands Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood

Oops, she did it again! Britney Spears, the queen of the comeback, has now secured a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Making a dramatic entrance in the Nevada desert via helicopter, the pop star announced her new gig and her new album, as yet untitled but set for release on December 3 (you can listen to the first single, Work B**ch).

A hoard of Britney look-a-likes welcomed the mother of two, who traded her pigtails and schoolgirl skirt for dark shades and a black suit with gold neck collar and plunging neckline.

“But yes it’s TRUE! Proud to announce that I will be taking over Vegas at @phvegas starting in Dec. #PlanetBritney,” the 31-year-old posted on Twitter. “I want to see ALL of your faces there over these next two years… I mean it!! Tickets for the 1st shows go on sale this Fri 9/20 @ 10am PST.”

The 50-show run, for which Britney will receive a reported $15 million each year, is called “Britney Spears: Piece of Me” and the first group of tickets go on sale Friday.

Britney also tweeted that she'll be performing at the iHeartRadio festival in Vegas this weekend, a good warm-up for the two years that lie ahead. No wonder she got her bikini body in shape this summer.
