Shania Twain: ‘I don’t think pop stars are too sexy now’
Last week, Katy was quoted saying pop stars need to “put it away" and bemoaned the fact that "everybody's so naked."
Shania disagrees.
"I don't think [pop stars are] too sexy now,” she told ET Canada.
The country music legend explained: "The boundaries are really up to the individual and then it's up to the viewer whether they like it or not."

Back in the day, Shania, 48, was somewhat of a trailblazer on the subject. The country music star flaunted her midriff in a music video (1993’s “What Made You Say That”) long before it became mainstream and was criticized heavily for it.
"I'm very comfortable with myself. I'm not bearing my midriff for effect or for shock factor,” she said. “I'm just doing it because I like my midriff."
Shania, meanwhile, is now gearing up for her most personal album ever – and she has plenty of inspiration to draw upon.
Since the release of her last studio album, UP!, in 2002, she’s been through a rocky divorce and found love again with her new beau, Frédéric Thiébaud, whom she married in 2011.
