Taylor Swift says her success may be scaring off men

It’s hard to believe anyone as beautiful and talented as Taylor Swift would have a problem finding potential suitors.

But the country music spoke exclusively with HELLO!, explaining that her success may be preventing her from getting dates.

"At least I suppose it might [be intimidating],” Taylor says. “It's not like I would look at a guy and say, 'Hey, are you intimidated by me?' I think that would be highly uncool on my part. I tend not to be the one to start conversations with guys, anyway. I'm a little more old-fashioned than that.

She continues: "I assume that if someone is interested in me they will come up and talk to me -- and if they want to call me up afterwards, then they will."

Despite her young years, Taylor has had a colourful love life with a number of high-profile men, including Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Harry Styles.

For now, however, the 23-year-old singer says she’s trying to let love happen naturally and is focusing on her career.

“I try not to wishfully think my way into relationships – or maybe I should say I’m trying not to do that any more,” she says.

Taylor is one of the world's most successful pop stars and is reportedly worth more than $200 million. She took a break from her Red world tour last week to meet with Prince William at the Winter Whites charity ball, where she even sang karaoke with the British royal and Jon Bon Jovi.
