Justin Bieber arrested for DUI and drag racing in Miami

Justin Bieber appeared in a Miami courtroom early this afternoon, where he was charged with resisting police without violence, a DUI, and driving with an expired license. A judge set bail at $2,500.

Justin was arrested in Miami Beach early Tuesday morning on suspicion of DUI and drag racing.

Tests show that the 19-year-old pop star was under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he was arrested at 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 23, Police Chief Raymond Martinez told the Miami Herald.

The singer’s entourage was reportedly using their cars to block traffic in a residential area, so as to create a “drag strip” for Justin to race on. The Canadian teenager was driving a rented yellow Lamborghini at the time.

Sources say rapper Khalil – the person Justin was racing – was also arrested. He was reportedly driving a red Ferrari.

According to reports, Justin was behaving incoherently and was driving with an expired licence. The teen is also alleged to have “resisted arrest without violence” by refusing to take his hands out of his pockets.

Earlier this month, a Los Angeles neighbour accused Justin of throwing eggs at his home and causing extensive damage to his property. Police obtained a warrant for Justin’s mansion and found illegal drugs, including cocaine, during the raid.
