For those of us dreaming of warmer weather, summer festival season can’t come soon enough.
Enter Canadian Music Week, which has just announced this year's star-studded lineup for the springtime event – including headliners like Tegan and Sara, M.I.A. and Ellie Goulding.
The five-night festival, which is in its 32nd year, begins May 10th in downtown Toronto and will feature over 1,000 artists performing at more than 60 venues around the city.
Other famous faces to take the stage are City and Colour, Neko Case, Television, the Dodos, No Age and Flatbush Zombies.
Along with the shows, CMW will be conducting interviews with some of Canada’s top talent, including City and Colour’s Dallas Green, DJ deadmau5 and folk artist Bruce Cockburn, as well as international stars like disco musician Nile Rodgers and alternative rock singer Amanda Palmer.
And for festival fans, there's even more good news: For the first time, the weeklong event will take place in the spring (it had previously been held in March).
