He’s now a doting father and a loyal husband, but Michael Bublé has confessed that he used to struggle with the idea of settling down.
In a candid new interview with George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, the Canadian crooner opens up about his marriage to Luisana Lopilato, revealing how he overcame his fear of commitment after falling head over heels for the Argentinian beauty.
“It’s weird. I wanted to get married to her because I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life – she’s my best friend,” he gushes.
Michael, 38, explains how his fast-paced lifestyle ("money, party, travel, girls," as George puts it) made it difficult to imagine his life as it is today.
"I couldn't have known [marriage] was going to be as good as it is,” he says in a preview clip.
He adds: “And even having a kid, I thought I was way too selfish, impatient and I thought I was scared every day, even when she was pregnant, I was like, 'Am I good enough? Am I going to be a good dad? Am I going to be an absentee father?'
The proud dad has since overcome his fears. He and Luisana were wed in 2011 and welcomed a son, baby Noah, in August.
The full interview with George airs Monday March 17 on CBC. Watch the preview clips below.
