When former Roseanne star Sara Gilbert and 4 Non Blondes singer Linda Perry made plans to get married last year, there was no doubt that the affair would be a night to remember.
The couple tied the knot on March 30 in Malibu, eschewing pomp and circumstance for a private, beach-side ceremony during sunset.
Sara, 39, and Linda, 48, recited their vows before an audience that included Sara’s The Talk co-stars Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood, plus A-list pals like Tobey Maguire, Juliette Lewis and Steven Tyler.
After the ceremony, the affair transformed into a rock show, with a bevy of performances bymusic royalty: Annabella Lwin from Bow Wow Wow rocked “I Want Candy,”The Motels’ Martha Davis sang “Only the Lonely” and Berlin’s Terri Nunn feted the couple with renditions of “The Metro,” “Take My Breath” and “Highway to Hell.”
And, as if rockstars weren’t enough, Tobey Maguire’s daughter Ruby also treated the lovely ladies to a performance of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”
This isn’t the first time the couple has been impossibly cute. Linda proposed to Sara last year during a park picnic, where she organized for string musicians to play while she changed into four t-shirts that read, sequentially, “Will” then “You” then “Marry” then “Me.”
Sara has said that “it was the best proposal ever.” And now she has the best wedding ever to match.
