Lorde, The National and The Wiggles will perform at this year’s Ottawa Folk Festival

A royal visit is in the cards for Ottawa this summer!

No, Prince William and Kate won’t be hitting the 21st annual Ottawa Folk Festival at Hog’s Back Park this year (sigh), but "Royals" singer Lorde will be there, joined by The National, Neutral Milk Hotel, Australian children’s group The Wiggles, Serena Ryder and M. Ward, to name a few.

Lorde and The Wiggles will perform at Ottawa's Folk Festival.

The lineup was received to massive fanfare given that Canadian children’s folk darling Fred Penner will be under the same roof as Blue Rodeo and Foster the People, who were also announced as major gets for the weekend.

This is the second major music festival in Ottawa this summer. The annual Bluesfest hits Lebreton Flats in July and features Lady Gaga, The Killers, Blake Shelton, Canadians Tegan and Sara and Queens of the Stone Age.

Juno Award-winners Tegan and Sara will take the stage at Bluesfest.

It appears that Lorde is making a run for Canada these days - she was also recently announced as a headliner at the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards along with Las Vegas foursome Imagine Dragons.

The Ottawa Folk Festival takes place from Sept. 10 to Sept. 14 and Ottawa's Bluesfest runs from July 3 to July 13.
