'All By Myself': Stranded traveller shoots hilarious video set to Celine Dion in Las Vegas airport

What do you do when you’re all by yourself? Well, if you’re Richard Dunn and stranded in Las Vegas’ McCarran airport, you tape your iPhone to a pole and direct a music video.

Richard, a Moncton, N.B.-native who found himself stuck alone in the airport overnight, is making waves this week after his single-camera music video— set to Celine Dion’s “All By Myself" — went viral.

The hysterical and entertaining clip shows the weary traveller making the most of a gloomy situation (his flight was delayed) by trading ennui for youthful frolicking and goofy expressions.

Las Vegas Weekly reports that the Vimeo sensation procured luggage tape from a counter and taped his phone to the pole of a wheelchair. For more complicated dolly shots, he used a conveyor belt.

One of the most comical parts of the video is his soulful serenade (lip-synced throughout) to an oversized sculpture in the shape of a sea turtle - but clutching a phone in front of a Delta Airlines sign that reads Need Help? is pretty hilarious, too!

Since Richard's homage went viral, the Canadian songbird herself has responded to the hilarious video!

"Hi Richard! I have to say that the video was hilarious and very touching. I loved it. But next time, you know, you're stuck all by yourself at Las Vegas airport for hours and hours, please be a guest at my show. And, by the way Richard, you're more than welcome to use my bathroom. So I hope to see you soon. Ciao for now. Thanks," the 46-year-old chanteuse said in a video response she posted to YouTube on June 12.
