Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ music video will be released in 3D

John Landis directed the 14-minute music video for Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” in 1982, but now he's giving the spooky spot a refresher.

The director, who recently settled a dispute with Michael’s estate for 50 per cent of the video’s earnings, has announced that he will be creating a 3D versionof the famous short film.

“That lawsuit went on for so many years, but we settled and they paid me finally,” the Animal House director said in a statement. “And, so, actually there is something happening with ‘Thriller.’ It is going to appear in a highly polished and three-dimensional way that is very exciting on the big screen.”

The updated “Thriller” will be released on Bluray and in theatres and, according to the New York Daily News, a source revealed that John may be pursuing a video game based on the iconic zombie dance.
