Lady Gaga teases collaboration with Adele

Are Lady Gaga and Adele working on a duet? The “Bad Romance” singer prompted speculation that the duo are collaborating on new music together after she posted a selfie with the British songstress to Instagram on Thursday.

“Nothing like a Wednesday night bro-down with the beautiful Adele,” she wrote alongside the picture, which shows them both smiling for the camera.

The 28-year-old had earlier posted a picture which showed someone playing guitar while she lies on a sofa apparently writing song lyrics.

Adele and Lady Gaga were first rumoured to be collaborating on a new track in November. A source told The Daily Star that Adele had already started working on a song and had planned to get in the studio together in January.

“Adele has started working on a song she thinks would make a perfect piano-led duet. It’s early days and there’s no guarantee it will make the album. Adele will only release it if it’s brilliant and does them both justice but it certainly has the potential to be a classic,” the source said.

Adele flew to LA in early January with her two-year-old son Angelo. The 26-year-old is rumoured to have been flown over by MGM bosses to record music for the new James Bond film, Spectre.

A source at MGM, which made the film, said: “Everyone thinks Adele is here for her much anticipated new album, but she is actually working on a music idea for the James Bond film.

“She hadn’t been in contact with the film bosses for a few weeks, but suddenly she said she had some great plans for the theme, so they flew her over.”

The singer won Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe awards for her previous Bond theme, Skyfall. Recording a second theme tune for the iconic film series would make her the first artist to sing more than one since Shirley Bassey.
