Canadian singing group The Tenors don’t just have the voices of angels – they have the hearts of angels, too! The sweet vocal quartet decided to give their moms the surprise of a lifetime by travelling home to see them just in time for Mother’s Day – and cameras were there to capture every heartwarming moment.
Set to the group’s rendition of “You Are So Beautiful,” the resulting five-and-a-half-minute video starts with Fraser Walters, Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef and Remigio Pereira each secretly flying back to their hometowns in Canada (Vancouver, Port McNeil, Toronto and Ottawa-Gattineau, respectively) to surprise their moms.
“You've helped me become the man I am today, but I will always be your baby boy," reads Fraser, while both mother and son become misty-eyed.
Remigio Pereira and his mother, too, can hardly hold it together when he tells her, “You have been my voice of reason, my life, my mentor."
Mother’s Day seems to be an especially important holiday for the Juno-nominated group, as all four members are especially close with their proud mamas. For Mother’s Day 2013, the moms surprised their sons during a concert in Chicago, showing up unannounced on-stage after they had completed singing their rendition of “Forever Young.”
The audience erupted in cheers as The Tenors turned around to see their mothers standing there. “She got me, she got me,” said bleary-eyed Clifton as he embraced his mom.
The band is currently promoting their upcoming album, Under One Sky, which comes out May 11.
