Adele might be the reigning queen of the charts because of her hotly anticipated new album, 25, but according to the British singer, Britney Spears is the one who wears the crown. “Britney is the queen. I love her,” gushed the 27-year-old star during an interview with NPR. Her declaration came after being informed that she has officially trumped the “Baby One More Time” singer’s record for the most single-week sales by a female artist in the U.S. According to Nielsen Music, the mother of one’s latest offering has already sold more than 3 million copies in North America.
Adele is riding her wave of success right into arenas across Europe, having just revealed that she will kick off her first tour in five years in 2016. Announcing the news on Twitter, Adele shared a video of herself standing in front of a map on the wall. "I've been bluffing this whole time and I'm so relieved to finally tell you of course I am coming on tour and I can't wait to see all of you there," she said. The 36-date adventure kicks off on Feb. 29 in Belfast and wraps up on June 13 in Belgium.

Adele last went on tour in 2011, but was forced to cancel her U.S. dates after having to undergo throat surgery. The Oscar-winning star recently said she found the idea of going on tour again quite lonely, but didn't rule it out completely.
Like Britney, the “Hello” singer hasn’t ruled out a Las Vegas residency. Speaking with etalk, Adele opened up about the possibility of setting up shop in Sin City. “Definitely I would. But not for a long time though. Maybe like 10 to 15 years or something, if anyone wanted to come still,” she said, adding, “I can’t think of a better summer holiday than being based in L.A. and getting to hang out in Vegas.”
