Twelve-year-old Rebecca Gibney received a very special “Hello” from Adele on Mar. 1, when the pop singer stopped by the young fan’s house in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The tween’s mother, Tracy Gibney, who helped orchestrate the meeting after her plea on Twitter caught the eye of Adele’s team, shared pictures of the precious moment on social media. “I am so blessed and thankful that Adele came to my home today,” she wrote alongside the heartwarming snaps.

Little Rebecca suffers from cerebral palsy and was given just six months to live by doctors in December. Her mother wanted nothing more than to make her daughter's dream of meeting Adele come true so she turned to social media for help.
"[Rebecca] listens to Adele from she gets up in the morning until her bedtime. All I am asking for is for Adele to FaceTime wee Rebecca or send her a video message. It would be her dream come true, Please, please help me for my beautiful sick little daughter.”

After it appeared her emails and Tweets went unanswered, the family was shocked when a call came through from Adele's manager earlier this week. Speaking with the BBC, an emotional Tracy reflected on the once-in-a-lifetime meeting, saying, "It's amazing. I'll never forget it. And I do know that when Rebecca passes away she did get her dream come true. It's made me feel like I'm the best mommy in the world which I never felt. Adele told me I was the best mommy in the world too."
According to Tracy, Adele and Rebecca became fast friends. “Adele played with her hair, and held her hand and asked her all about Frozen. She was really lovely,” she told Belfast Live.
Adele was in Northern Ireland to kick off her hotly anticipated 25 world tour. The 105-date road trip will take the GRAMMY winner across Europe and North America. She makes her first stop in Canada on July 20.
