Lady Gaga, Adele and more musical acts we want to see take over Las Vegas

After almost four years as the star attraction at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Britney Spears has announced plans to hang up her glittery costumes at the end of this year. The pop star’s “Piece of Me” show has brought in over $100 million in ticket sales, making it a giant yellow snake-sized success. So which artist or group is fit to fill her dancing shoes? Lady Gaga
Insta-catchy pop songs—check! Gravity-defying dance moves—check. Wears a sequin ones like a queen— do we even need to answer that? Gaga seems like a natural successor to Britney’s Vegas throne, especially after her performance at this year’s Super Bowl, where she proved that her appeal goes far beyond the Little Monster fan base. Her over the top campy vibe is totally in synch with the Vegas scene. Plus we know she’s got a good Poker Face!

Adele
Is there anyone who doesn’t love Adele? You do, your mom does, your mom’s mom’s second cousin does too. Recently, her 2011 album 21 made history as the longest Billboard charting album by a female artist in history, which explains why Vegas would want her. As for why she might be interested—Adele has said that she’s keen to provide a stable environment for her family, which is one of many reasons a long-term residency gig can be preferable to a world tour. Word is various casinos are already in a bidding war in the hopes of hosting her permanent showcase.

Spice Girls
We’ll tell you what we want (what we really, really want), and that’s to see the grand mommies of Girl Powah! reunite for (yet another) farewell engagement. Granted, getting the gals back together is not going to be easy. Victoria has her flourishing fashion career, Mel B is tied up with reality television shows in North America and England and the other ladies are keeping busy with their own projects. All signs point to unlikely, but where better than Vegas to beat the odds?

Justin Bieber
It’s true, Justin has spent the last several years making headlines for actions unrelated to his pop career (think breakups and bad behaviour). But after you strip away his carefree and often careless attitude, there is a whole whack of untapped talent. Exhibit A: All of the YouTube videos that show the Canadian's virtuoso instrument skills before he hit double digits. Exhibit B: His 2015 Purpose album, which was seriously amazing. Justin was recently spotted at a recording studio, leading many Beliebers to assume that new music may be coming soon. A Vegas gig would be the perfect place to debut it.

The Rolling Stones
The original boy boy band still rocks harder and louder than anyone in the business, as seen at last year’s Desert Trip festival (aka Oldchella). Both Mick and Keith are on record over the last couple of years saying they’re nowhere near ready to retire. And if The Who and Elton John can commit to a stint in Sin City (both are there in 2017), why not The Stones? They even have a tailor-made Vegas tune, "Tumbling Dice."
