Justin Bieber has seriously impressed fans after releasing a remix of Latin stars Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's hit tune, Despacito, in Spanish. The Love Yourself singer released the new version of the hit single, the title of which translates to Slowly, on Sunday (Apr. 16), and fans reacted with delight to the rendition. One wrote: "Justin released the #DespacitoRemix 15 hours ago without announcement and it is already #1 in over 40 countries he is a legend!" Another praised his accent, writing: "If you speak Spanish or not, if you say Justin didn't nail that accent you're lying. #DespacitoRemix."
The original song was the first ever Spanish-language tune to reach Spotify's global top ten and translated the lyrics include: "Yes, you know that I've been looking at you for a while/I have to dance with you today/I saw, that your look was calling me." The chorus translates to: "I wanna see you dance/ I wanna be your rhythm/ I want you to show me/Your favourite places."
The 23-year-old has had a difficult time after he was involved in an altercation with a fan in Barcelona back in November, and only recently returned to Instagram back in February. One Direction band member Liam Payne revealed that he had reached out to the Canadian star, telling Rollacoaster magazine: "He's a great guy — inside there's a really good heart. I said, 'Look, the difference between me and you is I had four different boys going through the same thing to look to. He didn't have that. I said to him, 'Take my number and any time you want a chat, let me know as I'm here and I understand exactly what you're going through and I understand your world.' He needs somebody like that and in that position."
