Diana Ross is back with a double whammy! Not only is she making a triumphant return to Las Vegas next year, she is also releasing a new album in a matter of days.
The soulful icon will set up residency at the Wynn hotel, but only for the month of February. Her Sin City residency, aptly named Diana Ross: Endless Memories, will be comprised of nine must-see performances.
The 73-year-old music legend recently announced on Instagram that her new album Diamond Diana: The Legacy Collection features some of her classic hits. The “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” singer shared a stunning throwback photo of herself in orange with the caption: “My new album, comes out November 17. I send this special gift to you all. This collection of songs is from my heart to yours and I send my love and thanks and appreciation to you for my joyous amazing journey, it's so much fun –DR”.
Diana will also be the recipient of the American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement later this month on Nov 19.
But the star has more to be proud of than just her many classic tunes and Vegas stints. Her daughter Tracee Ellis Ross has made quite a name for herself in the past few years, as both an actress and now a clothing designer for the American store JC Penny.
This year, Tracee, 45, was nominated for a Golden Globe for her TV comedy show “Black-ish,” along with her co-star Anthony Anderson. The actress recently revealed to Entertainment Tonightwhat her mom Diana texted her when she found out about her nomination. “I called my mom but she’s on the east coast so I didn’t wake her up,” Tracee joked. “My mom in the text said ‘I want this for you, I want this for you.’”
