Celine Dion kicked off her Asia-South Pacific tour on Tuesday (June 26) in Tokyo, and her hit tracks definitely weren’t lost in translation! The Canadian chanteuse started off her tour with a bang, playing a packed concert at the Tokyo Dome, which holds 55,000 people, in the heart of the Japanese city.
Celine belted out back-to-back hits like “Because You Loved Me” and “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” while also bringing some of her newer tracks to the stage, like the Deadpool 2 hit “Ashes.” Wrapping up the incredibly energetic performance with fan-favourite encore “My Heart Will Go On,” the 50-year-old star exited the stage to wild applause from her Japanese fans!
Celine gave fans a sneak peek of her travel wardrobe on Monday (June 25), showing off a particularly colourful ensemble of head-to-toe designer clothes! From the JW Anderson dress to the bright blue Saint Laurent pumps to the Kelly-green Hermès handbag, we’re not sure which part of the outfit we love more. Perhaps her new ‘do – beautiful blond waves and chic bangs!
The mother of three has been taking her loyal fanbase on the journey with her. In anticipation of the beginning of the tour, Queen Celine took a quite break while packing, laying across a black suitcase likely full of equipment. The star wrote: “Everything is packed and we are ready to hit the road! Can’t wait to see you on tour in a few days!”
The mother of three has been hard at work since bouncing back from weeks of being sick and undergoing ear surgery earlier this year. But Celine is never one who stays down for too long! Later this week, the star will be singing her way through South East Asia before heading Down Under to Australia and New Zealand, then returning back to her regular post at the Colosseum in Las Vegas.
