Ricky Martin is nearly as famous for carefully guarding his private life as he is for those swinging hips and Latin pop tunes. But the sexy singer has apparently put an end to the speculation about his personal relationships by confirming his on-off romance with one-time love, Mexican TV presenter Rebecca de Alba.

After Ricky and the stunning blonde were spotted canoodling in Oslo, Norway earlier this month, the Livin' La Vida Loca star apparently presented Rebecca who he reportedly dated on and off during the Nineties to a local newspaper reporter as "my girlfriend". "We met each other 14 years ago and right now we're very happy," he added.

Meanwhile, Ricky also remarked to the Norwegian press that he's looking forward to fatherhood. "I'm feeling ready to start a family," he said, adding later: "It would be incredible to have a 'Ricky Martin, Jr' I would be a great dad and I'd take the kids everywhere."

And it seems a baby Ricky might be coming sooner than later. "I can definitely see myself as a father," he hinted, "and it will probably happen soon."

The star is currently making the rounds in Europe, promoting his new Spanish-language album, Alma De Silencio.
