Pop star Britney Spears will perform a series of live shows from Las Vegas in a deal worth a reported £19million ($30million).
The Hit Me Baby One More Time singer announced plans to take on a two-year residency in the desert city on Tuesday morning.
The American musician revealed her exciting news live from the Mojave Desert on ABC's Good Morning America after arriving via helicopter in a spectacular publicity stunt.
"Proud to announce that I will be taking over Vegas at@phvegas starting in Dec. #PlanetBritney," she tweeted to followers after the event.
She follows in the footsteps of legendary singers including Elton John, Rod Stewart and Céline Dion who have all taken up residencies before.
The 31-year-old will begin the residency, named Piece of Me, at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in December.
"I'm going to definitely do the greatest hits but I'm going to have to put some of my new material in it to just keep it fresh," the mum-of-two said on the show.
She is expected to perform 48 of the 90-minute shows per year.
Her exciting news came just days after the release of her new single, Work B**ch.
Britney was forced to release the track a day early after a low quality version was leaked online.
