Jared Leto isn’t the only Oscar-nominee who is taking his mom as his date to the Academy Awards.
Bradley Cooper and Michael Fassbender, who are both nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, have also reportedly chosen to bring their mothers with them for Hollywood’s biggest night of the year.
“[Michael’s] parents are on their way from Kerry,” a source told The Sun of the 36-year-old German-Irish actor.“He has been seeing model Mădălina Ghenea in recent months but won’t be walking the red carpet with her.”
Bradley, 39, has also chosen to take his mother Gloria Campano as his guest over girlfriend Suki Waterhouse.
Bradley, who walked the red carpet with his mother Gloria last year, is said to be planning on joining British model Suki later in the evening.
The American Hustle actor is very close to mother. Gloria moved to LA three years ago after her husband, Bradley’s father, Charles Cooper lost his battle with lung cancer.
“Let’s face it, It’s probably not easy for her, by the way, to be living with her son,” said Bradley. “My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us.”
“It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped,” he added. “And we need each other. So here we are.”

Bradley and Michael’s choice of date follows in the footsteps of their fellow nominee, Jared Leto.
Jared, 42, shared a photograph of his mother’s reaction to the invitation, which was caught on FaceTime.
The Hollywood star tweeted a snap of his mum Constance, whose jaw is dropped with the visible excitement of going to the Academy Awards.
“My mothers face when @shannonleto and I told her she was coming to the #Oscars with us! :)” wrote the Dallas Buyers Club actor alongside the snap.
