Famous for: her roles in popular small screen shows and TV telecommunications ads
Manchester-born actress Esther Hall began her career with a cameo role in ITV doctor drama Peak Practice in 1996 and has been a firm fixture on our screens ever since. Among the varied entries on the actress' impressive CV are playing an MI5 agent in Spooks, a forensic scientist in Waking The Dead and a bitter widow in Rome. TV fans will also recognise Esther from her on-screen partnership with Love Actually actor Kris Marshall, who played her boyfriend in BT's long-running adverts. "I think people relate to it - it"s like a modern soap opera," she says of the popular commercial. As well as her acting talents, Esther, who graduated with a degree in performing arts from Yorkshire's Bretton Hall, is also a trained dancer, having studied classical ballet for five years.
