Pretty in Pink: The Louis Vuitton Lockit is the "it" bag of summer

I first became enamoured with the Louis Vuitton Lockit Bag earlier this spring, when images of Michelle Williams cradling the blush pink version for the French luxury brand’s summer 2014 ad campaign were all over the internet.

Roomy with a slight slouch to it, it wasn’t long before the buttery soft leather tote (an updated take on the 1958 original) was spotted on the arms of celebrity style stars, solidifying it’s place as the “it” bag of the season.

Though available in a variety of pastel shades, these A-list ladies are all reaching for the same dusty blush tone – named Magnolia by the brand.

It seems model Karlie Kloss was one of the first to be spotted with it in late April wandering around New York City, complete with her initials stamped in metallic ink on the cloche.

Next came Jessica Alba, a devoted Louis Vuitton wearer, who was spotted in LA with her own Lockit in late May.

And just this week, Naomi Watts was snapped doing a little shopping, not with beau Liev Schrieber on her arm but with a much prettier friend by Louis Vuitton.

Even though the ladylike shade seems to be a celebrity calling card, stars like Reese Witherspoon and Charlize Theron have been toting around their top shades – Frambroise (a bright magenta) and Galet (a light stone hue) respectively.

As much as I love their choices, I’m on the Magnolia bandwagon all the way!
