Emmy Awards 2014: All the red carpet looks

The fashion frenzy at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards started when the ladies of Orange Is The New Black hit the red carpet - and they traded their beige prison garb for a cavalcade of high-fashion frocks.

The first transgendered nominee ever, Laverne Cox, stole the show in a white, caped gown by Marc Bouwer, while costar Taylor Schilling dazzled in a "non-colour," nude, beaded Zuhair Murad Couture gown. Never one to play it safe, Natasha Lyonne was hourglass perfection in a lace, fitted Opening Ceremony number that flared at the shin.

Julia Roberts went against the grain in a fun and flirty party frock, a pebbled teal confection by Elie Saab.

And then came the reds. January Jones in a textured mullet-style number by Prabal Gurung Resort; Giuliana Rancic holding down the fort at the Mani Cam in strapless Gustavo Cadile; Claire Danes in belted Givenchy with peekaboo lace; Julia Louis Dreyfus in custom Carolina Herrera; Christina Hendricks in sultry, gilted Marchesa; Kaley Cuoco in frothy pink-and-red Monique Lhuillier; and more!

There was nothing funny about comediennes Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler and Kristen Wiig on the Emmys red carpet. Both hit it out of the park in Marni, metallic deco and plunging white satin, respectively.

And where bumps were concerned, Hayden Pannetiere was definitely the standout mom-to-be (she’s having a girl!), letting her plunging, sequinned Lorena Sarbu gown hug all the right places.
