While at a garden party in New Delhi with Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, revealed the secret to her slim post-baby physique. Though we know the sporty duchess is no stranger to athletics, the 34-year-old told fellow guests at the fete honouring the Queen's 90th birthday that it's chasing her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte that helps her keep fit and healthy.
"We said, 'How do you lose all the weight after having two kids?' And she said, 'I am running after my kids,'" fellow guest Prof BulBul Dhar-James revealed to reporters after he spoke with the Duchess at the party.
The Duchess was as radiant as ever for the glamorous event, where she opted for an elegant crop top and skirt ensemble by British designer Alice Temperley, as she and William mingled with guests.
Deepa Thomas Sutcliffe, who was also attending the event, told reporters that when she had the opportunity to meet Kate, they spoke briefly about Princess Diana – and the stylish royal expressed regret at not having had the chance to meet her husband's mother.
"I told the Duchess I have been a huge royal fan my whole life and I adored Princess Diana. I was five years old when she married," Deepa explained. "She said, 'Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting her.'"
William and Kate have been making the most of their seven-day tour of India and Bhutan. The couple have already taken part in a series of fun engagements, including a game of cricket at the famous Oval Maidan cricket ground in Mumbai with children from nearby slums.
The Duchess ran around cones while playing games with the children before the couple revealed their cricket skills as they played a match with legend cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. While William was caught out by one of the children during the match, Kate managed to bat the first ball bowled by Sachin before she was also caught out on the next ball.
The Prince was surprised after he was asked to sign a cricket bat, joking: "You're not going to sell this, are you?"
