Prince William and Kate show Prince George and Princess Charlotte's 'happy memories' in a sweet video

Prince William and Kate were so thrilled with their visit to Canada with their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, that they shared a beautiful video showing highlights of their time.

The video, which was shared on Kensington Palace's Twitter account, showed clips of the three-year-old and one-year-old enjoying their playdate with their parents, with adorable moments including the little princess delightedly putting her cheek against a rabbit and Prince George playing with bubbles accompanied by his dad.

The pair wrote: "We have created such happy memories for our children during this visit #RoyalVisitCanada."

A statement from Prince William was also released in a series of tweets while showing the incredible photos from the event. He said: "Catherine and I are incredibly grateful to the people of Canada for the warmth and hospitality they have extended to our family over the last week. We have loved our time in British Columbia and Yukon and will never forget the beautiful places we have seen and the many people who have been kind enough to come to welcome us in person.

Prince William spoke fondly of their visit

"We feel very lucky to have been able to introduce George and Charlotte to Canada. This country will play a big part in the lives of our children and we have created such happy memories for our family during this visit. Canada is a country of optimism, generosity and unrivalled natural beauty. I hope we have helped all Canadians celebrate what makes this country great. We will see you again soon."

The royal family will be returning to the UK later today after spending eight days on their official royal visit. Their final official duties included a visit to the Cridge Centre for the Family before taking a tour of the harbour in a ship, where the sporty couple instantly got involved by helping with the rigging and sails.
