Days after her husband, Justin Trudeau, had his first audience with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace, Sophie Grégoire was treated to her own royal moment at a banquet during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Malta. Dressed in a simple and elegant white evening gown, the mom of three looked thrilled to meet the monarch who, at 89, has attended almost every conference since her coronation in 1953.
The Queen topped her stunning crystal-beaded white gown with the emerald-and-pearl Vladimir Tiara and matching necklace. Canada’s new prime minster seemed to make quite an impression on the Queen, who singled out the handsome leader during her toast.
