Traditionally royal families turn to a professional photographer for official portraits and to mark major milestones. Princess Victoria captured this sweet moment between her daughter Princess Estelle and niece Princess Leonore in April 2014. Two images released by the princess showed Estelle planting a kiss on her cousin's head and holding her tiny foot.
Princess Madeleine couldn't resist sharing this adorable photo of her "little angel" Leonore shortly after her arrival in 2014. Shared on the Swedish royal's official Facebook page, the snap showed the newborn fast asleep while wrapped up in a pink blanket.
Princess Mary of Denmark captured this adorable snap of her twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine during their Christmas holiday in Australia. The royal released the personal portrait to mark the children's fifth birthday.

Princess Mary took photos of her daughter Princess Isabella playing in the park to celebrate her sixth birthday in April 2013. No doubt fans of the Danish royals will be hoping the family share more photos of the young princess when she turns nine on April 21.

Victoria released a similar image to introduce her daughter Princess Estelle to the world in 2012. Taken when Estelle was four days old, comparisons have already been drawn between the young princess and her newborn baby brother.
The Duchess of Cambridge gave royal fans an early Christmas present when she released new portraits of Princess Charlotte at the end of November. The photos were taken at home by the Duchess, and offered the first glimpse at the royal baby since her christening in July 2015.
The Duchess also took these sweet images of Prince George with his baby sister just weeks after her birth in May 2015. The adorable images were the first official portraits released of Princess Charlotte, and were taken at the family's country home, Anmer Hall.
Kate once again turned photographer to capture Prince George's first day at nursery in January. The proud mother released two images of an excited George ready to learn at Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk.
