Prince William and Kate's anniversary: Looking back on their wedding day

It’s hard to believe that six years have passed since Prince William married the love of his life, Kate Middleton, inside London’s historic Westminster Abbey. Clad in a bespoke Alexander McQueen gown, the future Duchess of Cambridge walked down the aisle on the arm of her loving father, Michael Middleton, to meet the prince who was eagerly waiting for her at the front of the church with his best man, Prince Harry, by his side. Now, as the couple marks their wedding anniversary on Apr. 29, Hello! looks back on their happy day in the video below.

An estimated 1 billion people worldwide tuned in to watch Prince William, then 28, say “I do” to his university sweetheart. The couple made their vows in front of friends and family, including the Queen, Prince Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall, royal cousins and European prince and princesses.


The grand affair included a carriage ride through the streets of London that concluded at Buckingham Palace. After posing for photographs and enjoying a private moment alone, the newly titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walked out onto the balcony to greet thousands of well-wishers hoping to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds. As the world watched, Prince William and Kate sealed their love with a kiss - twice!
