Marius Borg Hoiby: Get to know the oldest son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway may have a schedule filled with royal duties, but that's not the case for her oldest son, Marius Borg Hoiby. The 19-year-old, a heartthrob for teen girls around the world, is much like any normal teenager. From hanging with friends on the beach to sharing striking selfies, Marius offers many glimpses of his life via social media. Here are some fast facts about Norway's royal son:

1. He is an avid user of social media

Much like his contemporaries, Marius has an active Instagram account that boasts 40,000 followers, plus a Tumblr page, which he updates quite frequently with stylish selfies, travel shots, photos from the beach and pics of his squad.

2. He is into extreme sports.

Swimming, surfing and skateboarding are some of the teen's hobbies. He spent some time catching waves during a family vacation in Portugal and has the photographs to prove it. He also enjoys soccer, as Marius was seen enjoying the Norway vs. Hungary playoff game with his family last year.

3. He's not a prince.

Marius is son to Crown Princess Mette-Marit from her previous relationship with advertising executive Morten Borg. His two half-siblings, sister Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 11, and brother Prince Sverre Magnus, 9, both of whom have Prince Haakon for a father, are heirs to the throne - but Marius still gets plenty of royal treatment and has been unofficially adopted by the Norwegian court.
