Following his two-week tour of the Caribbean, Prince Harry reportedly took a detour en route home in order to spend some precious time with girlfriend Meghan Markle. While the prince's itinerary had him flying straight from Barbados to London on Sunday (Dec. 4), with an official engagement scheduled for Wednesday, the loved-up royal travelled 1,700 miles out of his way to see Meghan in Canada. The couple spent Sunday night and Monday at her home in Toronto, the Sun reports.
The 32-year-old's last-minute dash to be by Meghan's side is perhaps indicative of how important the relationship is to him. Numerous sources have stated that Harry is "head over heels in love" with the TV star, and — as HELLO! Online previously reported — it is thought he has made plans to see Meghan again before Christmas Day.
Harry's engagement on Wednesday is his last official duty before he breaks for the Christmas holidays, and he is expected to reunite with Meghan before he is called to Sandringham to spend the festive season with his grandmother the Queen, and the rest of the royal family.
Suits star Meghan, meanwhile, is likely to spend Christmas with her family in LA, having wrapped the latest season of the show in Toronto in November.
Harry and Meghan have maintained their transatlantic romance by jetting back and forth when their schedules allow. The Prince secretly flew out to Toronto for Halloween, while Meghan also made a last-minute trip to London just last month. The 35-year-old star was spotted shopping in Kensington, just a few minutes' walk from Harry's home, Nottingham Cottage, wearing her boyfriend's baseball cap.
