The Duke of Cambridge was taken by surprise as he was squirted with water at the London Marathon on Sunday (Apr. 23). Prince William, who was cheering on runners from the sidelines with his wife Kate, momentarily blinked and wiped water from his eyes as he was splashed in the face. A new video posted online has revealed that it was actually William's younger brother Prince Harry who was responsible for the cheeky act!
The Daily Mail's royal correspondent Rebecca English has shared the video on Twitter, with the caption: "I've just been looking at this clip again - is it me or does #PrinceHarry squeeze #William's water bottle so it hits him in the eye?!" she tweeted. William, Harry and Kate were certainly in high spirits as they watched more than 39,000 runners take part in the 26.3 mile race. The royals were attending the event to shine a spotlight on their mental health campaign, Heads Together, which was the marathon's official charity of the year for 2017.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry cheered on the participants, 700 of which were running for Heads Together, and helped hand out bottles of water near the finish line. One cheeky runner too aim at the future King, managing to spray him squarely in the face with a few drops landing on Kate. William took it all in his stride, laughing as he patted down his face.
Several runners did a double take as they ran past, clocking William, Harry and Kate at the sidelines. The royals were more than happy to dish out high-fives, hugs and selfies and at the end of the race, the trio also stood at the finish line and helped give out medals to the tired sportsmen and women. Harry, who is patron of the London Marathon Charitable Trust, had the honour of presenting awards to the elite winners.
