Here come Prince George andPrincess Charlotte! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement announcement has kicked off another royal wedding countdown. Kensington Palace has confirmed that the nuptials will take place in May at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, and their notice also said, “further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.” Those points will surely include the people who will take on important roles on Harry and Meghan’s special day. It’s likely that four-year-old Prince George and his two-year-old sister, Princess Charlotte will be included in the bridal party.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s adorable children are already pros, having been a page boy and flower girl in their aunt, Pippa Middleton’s wedding to financier James Matthews. Kate – who is due to welcome her third child in April 2018 – was seen guiding her little ones out of St. Mark’s Church in Englefield on her sister’s wedding day.
Ever since he became an uncle, Harry has shared a close bond with his niece and nephew. Just days after Prince George’s birth, Prince William’s younger brother said that as an uncle, he hoped "to make sure he has a good upbringing, keep him out of harm’s way and to make sure he has fun." Meanwhile, when Harry and Meghan sat down for their first televised interview after their engagement news made headlines, the former Suits star said that meeting Kate was "wonderful." She added, "Amazing… William as well." She and Harry will have plenty more opportunities to spend time with the duke and duchess as they settle into Nottingham Cottage. Their home is on the grounds of Kensington Palace, where William and Kate also have an apartment.
In their joint interview, Harry also said that they’d eventually like to become parents."One step at a time,” said the prince, who’s busy planning his wedding to the former Suits star. “Hopefully we'll start a family in the near future."
