Sweden's Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland were all smiles as they took their two children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, out for a day in the snow at Haga Palace. The Swedish Royal Court's official Instagram account shared a video of the family playing in the snow together by making snowballs and sliding down a hill on toboggans. Translated, the caption read: "The royal couple, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar wish you a merry Christmas from Haga Castle."
In a longer video posted on the Swedish Royal Court's website shows the family decorating their outdoor tree together, before Princess Estelle, five, arranges biscuits to give to her family as they play with toys while cosying up in front of the fire. The little princess looked simply adorable with her hair in two long plaits fastened with red bows, and was all smiles as she spent time with her family. Fans of the royal family were quick to comment on the sweet video, with one writing: "Merry Christmas to the whole wonderful family," while another added: "The same to you, hope you have a great Christmas."
The family recently picked out the Christmas trees for Stockholm's Royal Palace, and the official engagement marked one-year-old Prince Oscar's first ever time participating in the holiday tradition. Estelle, who helped her mother accept multiple trees last year, also participated in the Swedish tradition when she was a one-year-old. The two children received the trees from students at the master's program at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and even Prince Oscar shook hands with one of the students while looking at the trees. The university has presented Christmas trees to the royal palace since the late 1960s.
