DJ tries to get Prince Harry wedding gig during Brixton visit

By Meaghan Wray

The royal wedding of the year is on the horizon, which means Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in the market for a DJ – or so hopes one British musician! Jevanni Letford slipped the prince his business card during the royal couple’s visit to a London radio station on Tuesday (Jan. 9) in hopes of a hire.

The Reprezent 107.3FM disc jockey shared the hilarious encounter on his Twitter account, showing a confused Harry and giggling Meghan entering the station headquarters. In the video, Jevanni can be heard saying, “DJ at your wedding, DJ at your wedding!”

Unfortunately, the DJ has some stiff competition – well-loved British musicians Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith have also put their names in for the job, with Sam gushing to The Sun, “I’m obsessed. I want to sing at the wedding. It would be a dream!”

But you never know if you don’t try, and try Jevanni did! While the future groom and bride-to-be probably already have an idea of who will oversee the tunes to their big day, it did make for an adorable meeting nonetheless.

The former Suits actress and her fiancé have a lot in common, including their passion for the arts and youth empowerment, which is why the London radio station was the perfect destination for the dynamic duo. They were hoping to experience how the organization is encouraging young people to be involved in radio and broadcasting.

It’s only Prince Harry and Meghan’s second royal engagement together, their first of 2018, and she already looks to be settling into the royal routine ahead of their May 19 nuptials at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Knowing Prince Harry’s laidback and endearing nature, the reception is bound to be a party to go down in history – no matter who is spinning the records!
