Just hours after Kate delivered a baby boy on Monday (April 23),Prince George and Princess Charlotte arrived at the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital to formally meet their new baby brother. The royal siblings looked simply adorable, with George still dressed in his school uniform and Charlotte wearing an on-theme blue floral dress and a matching blue cardigan.
With dozens of photographers set up outside the main doors of the hospital, four-year-old George appeared a little shy as he walked hand-in-hand with his dad. His sister on the other hand didn't seem fazed by the attention as she smiled and waved to the crowds before heading inside to meet the newest member of the Cambridge family.
The happy occasion was reminiscent of Prince George arriving to meet Princess Charlotte following her birth on May 2 2015.
Inside, the children were reunited with their mother, who left their home at Kensington Palace early this morning. Reports of Kate being in labour hit social media just after 3:00am EST and then just five hours later, the palace confirmed the news the world had been waiting for. "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news," read a statement on social media.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte spent approximately 15 minutes with their new brother before returning to Kensington Palace. Prince William stayed at the hospital to help his wife prepare for their expected departure later this afternoon.
