The cheekiest photos of royals sticking their tongues out

By Ovauna Horan-Beaudette and Zach Harper
Princess Charlotte stole the show at the King’s Cup regatta on Aug. 8, when she stuck her tongue out at someone in a crowd of onlookers following the race! The four-year-old royal’s cheeky move prompted her mom, Duchess Kate, to laugh, make her own face and take her daughter away from the window.
This isn’t the first time Charlotte has stuck her tongue out at a royal event! She did so just last year at Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s wedding, and her little brother Prince Louis stole the show with a similar cheeky move at polo last month.
Let’s now forget Harry’s own tendency to use the gesture on unsuspecting photographers and family members (cue: that iconic moment on the Buckingham Palace balcony with mom Princess Diana!).
It’s not just these three goofballs, either. Prince William and his son Prince George have also been known to make silly faces for eager shutterbugs, whether on walkabouts or at family outings and official engagements.

The move prompted Kate to burst into laughter, make her own funny face and take her daughter aside to stop the behaviour.
Kate was praised for her reaction by commenters online.
“Kate blows my mind with her grace here! She is so beautiful,” one wrote.
“Kids are the equaliser,” another said. “It doesn’t matter who you are. Movie star, doctor, athlete, or royal, kids don’t care and it’s their world and they’re going to do what they do. And if you think otherwise...you probably don’t have kids.”
“She has her dads and grandmother Diana's sense of humour,” a third noted.
