In the days following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding on May 19, reports surfaced that the king of the dance floor was none other than George Clooney! Now, the 57-year-old has opened up about being a guest at the wedding of the year and what did and didn't happen during the reception at Frogmore House.
"There were a lot of stories, I heard I danced with… everybody," recalled the actor on the red carpet at the American Film Institute gala, during which he received this year's Lifetime Achievement Award. And despite being one of Hollywood's most outgoing stars, George insists, "I didn't dance, I didn't." He also refuted reports that said he played bartender and another popular claim that guests enjoyed raucous games of beer pong. "I heard there was beer pong, no beer pong."
There may not have been drinking games, but there sure was a star-studded contingent in attendance. George and his wife Amal Clooney, Serena Williams and Oprah were just a few A-Listers who mixed and mingled with the Royal Family. Meghan's former Suits cast mates also scored coveted invites to the ceremony and and formal luncheon, but were not among the 200 VIP guests at the evening reception.
Mom-of-two Amal scored best-dressed honours thanks to her mustard yellow custom ensemble by Stella McCartney. The humans rights attorney accessorized the perfectly tailored cap-sleeve dress with a bespoke creation by top milliner Stephen Jones.
