When three become four! Zara and Mike Tindall have officially welcomed their second baby girl into their sporty household. The Royal Family confirmed the exciting time for the Tindalls with a statement on Twitter: “Mrs Michael Tindall was safely delivered of a baby girl on 18thJune, at Stroud Maternity Unit. Mr Tindall was present at the birth. The weight of the baby was 9lbs 3oz.”
And with champions for parents, it's no wonder the little one has already set a record of her own - Princess Anne's fourth grandchild and the Queen's seventh great-grandchild is believed to be the heaviest royal baby born in recent years (a record formerly held by 8lb 8oz Savannah Phillips when she was born in 2010!).

Mrs Michael Tindall was safely delivered of a baby girl on 18th June, at Stroud Maternity Unit. Mr Tindall was present at the birth. The weight of the baby was 9lbs 3oz.
The statement continued: “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Philip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted by the news. The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course.”
It’s a very happy occasion for the couple, who have been happily married since 2011 – the same year the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said “I do.” The family’s summer escapades around the rugby and horse fields have been a delight to royal watchers, who just adore their first little girl, four-year-old Mia Grace Tindall. Given Mia’s close relationship with her cousins – as seen during their rambunctious play dateswhile mom is tending to her horses – she’s likely to be over the moon to finally be a big sister!
Aside from Mia having a sister to play with, this pregnancy is particularly meaningful for her parents, who suffered a miscarriage back in 2016 - just a month after announcing news of their second pregnancy. The couple, spoken for on behalf of a representative, said in December of that year: “Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy.” Thankfully, they are a strong family unit, and Mia was their “saving grace,” Mike shared with the Sunday Times of the sad news.
The 37-year-old equestrian and her rugby playing husband, 39, made a glamorous appearance last month for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding at Windsor Castle. The couple, as per usual, appeared to be in very high spirits as they smiled and waved at other guests while approaching St. George’s Chapel. Of particular notice was how at ease Zara was in the late stages of pregnancy, leaning back casually in the pewwhile watching the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex exchange vows.
