Everything we know about Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will exchange vows in the second highly anticipated royal wedding of the year on Oct. 12, 2018. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's younger daughter and her future husband, who has worked with George Clooney's tequila brand Casamigos, announced their engagement in January after Eugenie said "yes" to a stunning pink sapphire engagement ring.

THE VOWS
Princess Eugenie will follow in the footsteps of Princess Diana, Duchess Kate and Meghan Markle by omitting the promise to "obey" her husband. When her aunt Diana did so in 1981 it was considered quite controversial but in recent years has become a common practice among royal brides. Eugenie will say the following as her vows: “I, Eugenie Victoria Helena, take thee, Jack Christopher Stamp, to my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse: for richer, for poorer; in sickness and in health; to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God’s holy law; and thereto I give thee my troth.”

THE RINGS
Or should we say, the ring. Much like Prince William, Jack will not be wearing a wedding ring, as revealed in the Order of Service. This is a common practice for men in the Royal Family and one that is totally left to preference. Unlike his brother, Prince Harry chose to wear a ring when marrying Meghan Markle. Princess Eugenie will wear one, likely made from Welsh gold like other British royal brides, and when her groom slips it on her finger he will say, "With this ring I thee wed; with my body I thee honour; and all my worldly goods with thee I share: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen."

Maid of Honour Princess Beatrice will read <a href="https://ca.hellomagazine.com/royalty/02018101247791/princess-beatrice-great-gatsby-passage-royal-wedding">a passage from F. Scott Fitzgerald's <em>The Great Gatsby</em></a> during the wedding ceremony. While the iconic American novel deals with some dark themes, this particular passage talks about title character Jay Gatsby's eyes - and his charisma and ability to put people at ease is something that Jack seems to share.
<p>In a pre-wedding interview with ITV, the Queen's granddaughter explained. “Jack’s the kind of guy, you know when you’re lost at a party and you can’t find anyone to talk to, and you start panicking and you need help? He’ll walk in and make everyone feel so special,” she said. "He’ll scoop you up and talk to you and make you feel a million dollars and [speaking to Jack] that’s you, and you’re so humble and generous."

THE BRIDAL PARTY
Wedding pros Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3, will return for another run down the aisle - their third this year! The duo will be joined by their royal cousins Savannah and Isla Phillips, whose parents are Peter and Autumn, and Zara Tindall's four-year-old daughter Mia, all of whom are Princess Anne's grandchildren. Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor's five-year-old daughter Maud, who is in Prince George's class at school, will also act as bridesmaid. As suspected, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field's little girl Teddy, 6, and Mr Louis de Givenchy, the six-year-old son of Mrs Zoe De Givenchy and Mr Olivier De Givenchy, will round out the bridal party. There will also be two special attendant roles taken on by Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex's children, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and Viscount James Severn.

THE MUSIC
The bride and groom have enlisted Italian icon Andrea Bocelli to perform two songs during the ceremony alongside members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), of which Princess Eugenie's father, Prince Andrew, is patron. The RPO's managing director, James Williams, said it has been "a great pleasure" to work with the couple choosing the music for their royal wedding. Andrea Bocelli is a world-class singer and songwriter whose honours include the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, not to mention countless awards. Celine Dion once said of the prolific 60-year-old that "if God would have a singing voice, he must sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli." He will sing "Ave Maria" and Panis Angelicus."

THE CAKE
Princess Eugenie and Jack have followed in Prince Harry and Meghan's footsteps by shirking royal wedding cake tradition, opting for a red velvet and chocolate confection instead of an iced fruit cake. Kensington Palace described the dessert by Sophie Cabot, the designer responsible for the elegant cake in the photo, as traditional but with a modern feel. Much like their wedding china, the cake will be decorated in ivy - likely a nod to their home at Kensington Palace, Ivy Cottage and utilizing Sophie's expertise in sugar-flowers and hand-painting on her cakes. "I am incredibly excited to be given this wonderful opportunity to create such a special and unique cake. It has been lovely working with Princess Eugenie and Jack and I really hope they enjoy the cake on the day," the designer told HELLO! in a statement.

THE HASHTAG
Eugenie and Jack officially have their own royal wedding hashtag! Less than two weeks away from their big day at St. George's Chapel, fans of the soon-to-be-wed couple have initiated the #RoyalWedding2 hashtag, so as not to confuse coverage with the previous royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back in May.

GUESTS ARE RECEIVING THEIR INVITES
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's invites are officially in the mail! One invitee shared a picture of their entry cards on Twitter, which reads: ""I am delighted to enclose your Entry Cards for attendance in the precincts of Windsor Castle on Friday 12th October 2018 to celebrate the marriage of HRH Princess Eugenie of York and Mr Jack Brooksbank." This means famous faces will be receiving their invitations as well, including singers Ellie Goulding (pictured), Ed Sheeran and James Blunt, plus family friends like David and Victoria Beckham and George and Amal Clooney!

PUBLIC INTEREST
A whopping 100,000 members of the public applied for coveted invitations to watch Princess Eugenie and Jack say "I do" outside St. George's Chapel. This has now been narrowed down to a lucky 1200 whose invitations to watch the second royal wedding of the year are officially in the mail!

THE RECEPTIONS
Just as she did for Prince Harry and Meghan, the Queen will host a reception for the happy couple at Windsor Castle following their carriage procession. That evening, friends and family will reportedly be treated to a black-tie affair at Royal Lodge, according to the Sunday Times. Not only does Prince Andrew reside in the property but it's where the York family spent ample time when Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were growing up. The stunning home boasts 98 acres and 30 rooms, including seven bedrooms and a saloon, and the plan is to erect a tent on the property for the glittering party. It's also been reported that an afternoon affair the following day will be festival-themed, with rides, cocktails and more.

THE CARRIAGE PROCESSION
The palace confirmed that after their nuptials the newlyweds will follow in Prince Harry and Meghan's footsteps by undertaking a carriage ride. Royal watchers can spot them from Castle Hill, the High Street and Park Street as they ride from the Royal Mews out of Windsor Castle and down High Street. Unlike Eugenie's cousin, they will not ride the Long Walk. The route is similar to the one that Prince Edward and Sophie took on their wedding day.

THE DRESS CODE
One of the highlights of any royal wedding is, of course, what the guests choose to wear – and given Princess Eugenie's collection of fashionable friends, we know her big day on Oct. 12 won't disappoint! While she and Jack share the same wedding venue as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, their dress codes do differ.
For Eugenie and Jack's dress code, men are expected to wear a morning coat, while at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's big day, men were asked to wear a uniform, morning coat or lounge suit. According to Town and Country, this may have been just to simplify dress code for her North American friends, given she has so many having been born in the United States and worked for many years in Canada. Her fiancé never served in the military, so he won't be wearing a uniform and neither will his guests.

THE INVITATIONS
With only a month to go before saying "I do" to the love of her life, Princess Eugenie's wedding invitations have just been revealed by Vanity Fair – and they're stunning! The beautiful script on the invites reads: "His Royal Highness The Duke of York, KG and Sarah, Duchess of York request the pleasure of the company of… at the Marriage of their daughter Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York with Mr Jack Brooksbank at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on Friday 12th October, 2018 at 11am followed by a Reception at Windsor Castle."
At the bottom of the crisp white invites is the Buckingham Palace address. The Order of the Garter is also stamped on the top, along with the dress code: "Dress: Morning Coat / Day Dress with Hat".

THE COST
The Royal Family has a mere few weeks to go before Eugenie and Jack say "I do" at St. George's Chapel, and according to the Mirror, their security charges will ring it at around CA$3.33 million, not too far off from what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding security costed. Though the cost will be paid by taxpayers, the public shouldn't be too concerned – the princess's wedding will likely be quite a boost to the UK economy, just like Harry and Meghan's was.

THE MAID OF HONOUR
The York sisters are thick as thieves, and will be together every step of the way leading up to Princess Eugenie's wedding. In an interview with British Vogue, the royal officially announced that her sister, Princess Beatrice, will be taking on the role of Maid of Honour. “Euge is amazing,” she gushed, adding, “She’s a very modern bride.”
The bride-to-be elaborated on her upcoming big day, admitting that she's not too stressed at all! She added: “It’s nerve-racking because you want it to be perfect, but then you realize that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.” And it's bound to be a perfect day, especially when she has her sister lending a helping hand.

THE BOUQUET
There's one thing in common with almost every royal wedding bouquet, and that's the inclusion of myrtle. The plant, an evergreen shrub native to southern Europe, represents love, so it's only fitting that Eugenie should include it in her own bouquet when she walks down the aisle.
The tradition dates all the way back to the nuptials of Queen Victoria, and the green plant was also spotted in Sarah Ferguson's wedding bouquet, when she said "I do" to Eugenie's father, Prince Andrew.
Royal brides, after their wedding, are also expected to leave the bundle of blooms on the grave of the unknown warrior in Westminster Abbey, a tradition begun by the Queen Mother back in 1923.

GOING ECO-FRIENDLY
In a rare interview with British Vogue, the royal bride-to-be revealed one detail about the couple's upcoming nuptials that puts the environment first. “It’s been eye-opening,” she revealed. “My whole house is anti-plastic now – and Jack and I want our wedding to be like that as well.”

THE TITLES
While Princess Eugenie will, of course, retain her title, the story is a little different for her husband-to-be. According to the Mail on Sunday, the 32-year-old will not be granted a title, but will instead remain a member of the public. After saying "I do," Eugenie will be known as HRH Princess Eugenie, Mrs Jack Brooksbank.

THE GUESTS
Following in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's footsteps, Eugenie and Jack have decided to open up their nuptials to members of the public. While it was originally believed to be a private affair, a total of 1,200 guests will be given access to the castle grounds to watch their arrival. Royal fans can apply for up to four tickets on the Royal Family's official website, and those chosen will be notified in September by mail. Aug. 8 is the deadline for applications, so get them in quick!

THE DATE
With the Royal Family's extremely packed individual schedules, nailing down a date that worked for everyone was no easy feat! In fact, Princess Eugenie and her fiancé had to shift their wedding date so Meghan Markle and Prince Harry – who are set to travel to Australia for the Invictus Games and a tour Down Under – will be able to make their Oct. 12 nuptials. The wedding will take place at 11 am UK time, which is 6 am in Canada.

THE VENUE
Just like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's big day back in May, Princess Eugenie and Jack will wed in the stunning St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. And just like their cousins, they could share their first public kiss on the chapel's West Steps.
The royal couple will be the 11th pair to say "I do" in this historic building, joining Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly in 2008, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall in 2005, and Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex in 1999.

THE RING
While Eugenie and Jack's engagement photos were absolutely beautiful, there was a certain sparkling jewel that caught everyone's eye: the princess's engagement ring. The breathtaking bauble features a unique padparadscha sapphire surrounded by 10 brilliant-cut diamonds and two pear-cut diamonds. The use of the rare and colourful stone is particularly meaningful to Eugenie as her mother Sarah Ferguson's ring was quite similar - a Burma ruby to match her red hair, which was also surrounded by diamonds.

ROMANCING THE ROYAL
Princess Eugenie and Jack don't have your typical meeting story. In fact, they were both on posh skiing trips in 2010 in Verbier, Switzerland, where the 28-year-old's father was celebrating his 50th birthday, when they met and fell in love, Jack explained in an engagement interview with the BBC. At the time, the 32-year-old was a waiter and barman, and was the former manager of Mayfair club Mahiki. The following year Jack was dressed to impress at Royal Ascot, after which they had a long-distance relationship while the royal lived in New York before moving back in 2015. "I love Eugenie so much and we are just so happy and over the moon for what is to come," he gushed in the interview.
The couple announced their engagement on March 15, 2018. Buckingham Palace took to Twitter to share the exciting news, writing: "The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank. Her Royal Highness and Mr Jack Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month. The wedding will take place in the autumn of 2018 at St George's Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course."
