As Princess Eugenie gets ready to say “I do” to Jack Brooksbank on Oct. 12, she’s likely making sure to fit in a little gym time between all her commitments as a royal dedicated to causes close to her heart. Luckily for all the busy bees out there, Eugenie’s workout routine is totally accessible to anyone – royal or not!
The 28-year-old has been looking noticeably more toned lately, after royal watchers noticed Eugenie showing off her muscular arms at the Serpentine Summer Party this year. Back in 2016, she opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about her daily fitness routine. An early bird who sets her alarm for 6:45 am, the princess quickly catches up on her emails before starting her workout 15 minutes later. “I go to the park from 7 to 8. I do circuits, which I love because they’re quick: burpees, squat jumps, lunches, the whole lot. It’s much better, as I can’t run for a long time,” she shared. “Or I go with my best friend to this amazing, women-only gym called Grace Belgravia.”
The gym is more than just a gym, though – it’s a health, wellbeing and lifestyle club with a medical clinic, spa and restaurant. Other celebrities like Cara Delevingne and her sister Poppy frequent the luxe establishment, forking out a reported $10,300 per year for the exclusive membership.
But as any fitness fanatic knows, you are what you eat! Diet is a huge factor in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and the princess has a favourite restaurant for clean eats. She can often be found grabbing lunch at Detox Kitchen, which serves everything from salads to curries. “I try not to eat at my desk because it’s good to go outside, especially in the summer, and it’s always fun to explore Soho,” she said. “During the day, I drink everything from green tea to coffee, Diet Coke to fizzy water.”
