The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to jet home from their beautiful family vacation in Mustique for a very special occasion – one that will see Meghan Markle and Duchess Kate out on the town together again! Since they wowed crowds on their first official joint outing at Wimbledon, fans have been eager for another glimpse of the fast friends, and Charlie van Straubenzee ’s wedding in Surrey on Aug. 4 might just be the ticket.
Royal photographer Tim Rooke first tweeted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be attending, as Harry is thought to be the best man. But excitement grew when it was speculated that Prince William and Duchess Kate would also be there because the brothers are both good friends with the groom. Of course, royal watchers love it when these two gorgeous couples step out together – but it’s even more exciting seeing the sisters-in-law bond.
The royal men go way back with Charlie and Harry having attended Ludgrove Prep School in Berkshire together as kids. The groom-to-be’s brother, Thomas van Straubenzee, is also Princess Charlotte ’s godfather and was one of William’s ushers at his royal wedding back in 2011. It’s believed that Charlie was an usher on Harry and Meghan’s big day in May.
Kate and Meghan shared their first solo outing together watching Serena Williams play in the Ladies Singles Final at Wimbledon. All eyes were on the duo as they debuted two different but equally fabulous looks – Meghan in a blue-and-white nautical Ralph Lauren ensemble and Kate in a stunning white short-sleeved Jenny Packham dress. And Meghan was dressed to impress at the last wedding she attended, wearing a blue and white Oscar de la Renta gown to watch Princess Diana’s niece say “I do,” so fashion fans are surely eager to see the duo step out in style once again.
But the Royal Family has more than a wedding to celebrate that day! Coincidentally, their nuptials also fall on the Suits alum’s 37th birthday. Though no information has been released about how the couple will ring in her big day, we’re hoping it will be full of delicious cake and some well-deserved rest and relaxation … after the wedding festivities, of course!
