Royal highlights of the month – August 2018

Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco made an adorable pair at the annual Monaco Picnic at Le Parc Princess Antoinette. Prince Albert and Princess Charlene's twins, 3, danced and clapped as they watched local performers in the park square.

Happy 1st Birthday Prince Gabriel! To mark the toddler's milestone, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia released a series of portraits of their youngest son. The proud parents shared one of the images on their personal Instagram account with the message: "Congratulations, Gabriel. Love you! For a year, you have spread joy to us and your big brother!"

The Changing of the Guards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace on August 31 featured a special tribute to Aretha Franklin, who was laid to rest in Detroit the same day.
Troops from the British Army’s Household Division performed a touching rendition of the singer's hit song "Respect" during the historic ceremony.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia shared the sweetest family photo on their joint Instagram account. Matching in crisp white cotton, the Swedish royal couple held both of their sons – Prince Alexander, 2, and 11-month-old Prince Gabriel. The caption reads: "
Greetings from us! The family photographed at Solliden in July." The family of four were enjoying a lovely sunny day at Solliden Palace, their summer residence.

As they gear up for their own wedding on Oct. 12, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank made a fashionable appearance at Charlie van Straubenzee's wedding. Ever the fashion maven, Eugenie wore a pastel blue dress, nude pumps, a white coat and very fashion-forward sunnies. Her fiancé was dapper in his morning coat for the special day.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were loved up as ever while attending family friend Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks' nuptials in Surrey on Aug. 4. The birthday girl stunned in a colour-block Club Monaco skirt, paired with a navy blouse, Aquazzura pumps, SHOPBOP clutch and a Philip Treacy hat. Best man Harry looked dapper in a morning coat and grey trousers.
