Prince George went on his first hunting trip with mom Kate in Balmoral

Prince William and Kate have landed in Balmoral for some quality family time with the Queen at her beloved Scottish escape. On Sunday (Aug. 26), Kate was photographed riding with Her Majesty in her Bentley as the two attended church services at Crathie. This comes after her son, five-year-old Prince George, marked an exciting new milestone. According to royal correspondent Emily Andrews, the duchess took her eldest on his first grouse hunt! A big group of royals joined the duo for lunch following the hunt.

The group included George's grandfather Prince Charles, great-grandmother Her Majesty, great-uncle and great-aunt Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, second cousins Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount James Severn. Zara and Mike Tindall, who recently welcomed their second daughter Lena, who joins adorable Mia, were also on hand for the festive occasion.

At some point during their stay fans can hope for another glimpse of Prince George, who has had a very exciting few month. The future king marked his milestone fifth birthday while on a fun-filled beach vacation in Mustique with the Middletons. He also became a big brother for the second time in April, when Prince Louis joined him and Princess Charlotte in the Cambridge kid clan, and attended his brother's christening in July. The family has been laying low at their country home, Anmer Hall, where George and Charlotte spent the first few years of their life before relocating to London.

Throughout August and September, members of the royal family gather at Balmoral Castle for a little rest, relaxation and family fun, including movie nights, picnics and hunting. The Queen spends every summer at the picturesque property in the Scottish Highlands. Prince Philip was spotted there last week after keeping a very low profile over the past few months following his retirement and hip surgery. Princess Beatrice and the Duchess of Cornwall have also visited this month, where they were seen attending church services with the monarch.

One couple who hasn't yet been spotted in Scotland is Prince Harry and Meghan, who recently returned from a lavish trip to Lake Como, where they stayed with Hollywood pals George and Amal Clooney. The duke is expected to take his wife for her first visit to the Highlands at some point in the coming weeks, though fans speculate that he may skip the hunts going forward as the duchess has been a vocal animal lover. In fact, they reportedly just added a new member to their family, a Labrador dog, who joins Meghan's rescue Guy.
