Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their post-summer debut with an appearance at the WellChild Awards, a ceremony that celebrates inspiring children who are dealing with serious illness. After enjoying some well-deserved rest and relaxation around Europe this summer, the couple showed off their new summer glows for the great organization, of which Prince Harry has been a patron since 2007.

With suiting fast becoming Meghan's go-to look, the duchess donned a stunning Altuzarra two-piece suit with a black camisole by Deitas. She carried a small Stella McCartney bag and anchored the look with black pumps.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chatted with four-year-old Mckenzie Brackley at the event, who wasn't a fan of the cameras. The couple put him at ease by saying that's one part of royal life they aren't too keen of either!

One of the award winners for the day is Evie, who was born with spina bifida. The inspiring young woman has gone on to win several show jumping awards, and mentors young people with health problems.

Jacob, 17, was one winner for the day and helps take care of his sweet sister. Melissa has Angelman syndrome, which leaves her in need of 24 hour care. Her brother even helped her learn how to walk!

Prince Harry took to the stage to dedicated an inspiring speech to the children who touched his life that evening. "Every one of you is truly amazing. You have shown all of us what it means to be a champion – whether for yourself, your family, your community, or someone in need," he said to the crowd.

Jamie and Harry clearly bonded immediately. The 10-year-old has a complex range of conditions, including CIPO which affects his intestines. But he has made incredible progress at his new school, and even completed the 2017 Parallel London 1K Super Sensory Run in his walker.

Meghan and Harry met with 10-year-old Scarlett, who helps care for her older sister Freya, who is severely disabled.

Twelve-year-old Jake, who has spinal muscular atrophy, clearly stole Meghan's heart! The boy won this award for pursuing an acting gig, despite having never gotten a role before because of his disability. He ended up landing a lead role in Tom Fletcher’s The Christmasaurus.

They had a lovely moment to bond with seven-year-old Matilda while they were on stage, too. The young girl has Spina Bifida and is paralyzed from the chest down, but dreams of becoming a nurse.

Cameron, 16, was born with a rare form of muscular dystrophy and spent his first three years of life in the hospital. But this didn't stand in the way of his dreams. He is now junior political editor for a magazine and has interviewed politicians at the Scottish and English Parliament.
