Prince Harry’s romantic gift for Meghan Markle is now a t-shirt!

Prince Harry’s one-time romantic gesture to his future wife Meghan Markle has now been turned into a wearable piece of art for fans! Back in 2016, the duke purchased a lovely painting called Everybody Needs Somebody To Love for his then-girlfriend, and the Van Donna creation is now featured on a limited-edition t-shirt that any royal watcher can purchase.

Two years ago, People confirmed the pricey purchase Harry made for Meghan at Walton Road Gallery – but you can’t put a price on love! The artwork features the words “everybody needs somebody to love” written in red, accompanied by a black print of two young children walking hand-in-hand. The piece was originally one work, but the prince reportedly asked for it to be split in half to be shared between two people. We’re willing to bet this gift definitely tugged on Meghan’s heartstrings!

The thoughtful artwork by British artist Van Donna caught Harry’s eye, a local art collector revealed to the magazine last summer. “He was in the gallery for a little while and liked a few things, then settled on the Van Donna. He said he was looking for something for ‘an important person,’” the source shared. “It was literally just before anyone heard about Meghan – literally just days before it was announced he was going out with her.”

Many royal watchers likely look to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for romantic inspiration, and they needn’t look any further than this act of kindness. “It’s a very romantic gesture. It’s a bit like a charm bracelet where you give half of it to someone you’re involved with and keep the other half yourself,” the source gushed. “We should all learn something from it, I think.”

What original sold for thousands can now be purchased en-masse for only $40 to $50. The artist took to Twitter to share the exciting news, writing: “Super excited! My ‘Everybody needs somebody to love’ is now a t-shirt!!!! Hope #PrinceHarryAndMeghan will pick one (or two) to match their painting!” For those who don’t count t-shirts as part of their regular wardrobe, they can also purchase the same prints – at a quarter of the size – to decorate their homes, just like Meghan and Harry.
