Prince Harry and Meghan gave a public train passenger the best surprise
By Meaghan Wray
For some lucky passengers, an average commute on the train turned into the surprise of a lifetime! While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were on their way to the Coach Core Awards at Loughborough University on Monday (Sept. 24), the couple decided to travel less incognito than usual and take the public train – much to the delight of others on board!
One such passenger managed to snap a short video of Prince Harryand Meghan as they quickly walked by after arriving in town, with a few security personnel following closely around them, who were almost undetectable in every day clothing. Of course, the beloved (and decidedly low-key!) couple – who just said “I do” on May 19 – were clasping hands. The tweet reads: “Bizarrely sharing my train with Harry & Meghan today #LoughboroughToLeicester”.

The train is clearly the way to travel for these two, who used the traditional form of transportation on their official visit to Cardiff back in Jan. But as anyone who relies on trains knows, they’re not always on time – in fact, the duke and duchess were late, and their arrival in Wales was delayed. In natural Harry fashion, he ramped up the charm and expressed his apologies to those who were anxiously waiting to see their prince: “Most of you have freezing cold hands! We’re very sorry we’re late. Blame the trains!”
While all members of the Royal Family are beloved for their own unique traits, Meghan and Harry have really made a name for themselves as one of the most relatable couples . Always taking time during walkabouts to chat and joke with their fans, the dynamic duo already has a long roster of candid moments – and there will only be more to come during their first official Commonwealth royal tour in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga starting Oct. 16!
For a charitable day out, celebrating a wonderful organization that helps people in need get employment through sport, Meghan and Harry looked more loved-up than ever ! The two tossed around a ball during a netball drill with other participants, laughing and even sharing a quick hug on the court, showing off their natural charisma and their deep love for each other. The 37-year-old royal stunned in a navy-blue Oscar de la Renta blouse , which draped beautifully and was cinched in by a thin belt – a duchess-approved accessory, along with a simple necklace by Pascale Monovoisin. She paired the look with simple black pants by Altuzarra and her trusty Aquazzura pumps, sealing her reign as one of the most sartorially savvy British royals .
