Prince William and Kate get the giggles on their first joint appearance since Prince Louis: All the photos

On Tuesday (Oct. 9), Prince William and Kate made their first joint appearance since the duchess went on maternity leave in March - and they were more in sync than ever! Not only did the duo make a fashionable pair, they also showed their passion for a cause close to both of their hearts: mental health awareness. The Cambridges attended the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit at London County Hall, where they were among political leaders, artists, researchers and policy makers all working to break the stigma associated with mental health issues and work to better the health of people around the world. While there, they also shared a few sweet laughs along the way.

After her casual royal engagement at the Sayers Croft Forest School last week, Kate traded in her Zara moto pants for a recycled look by one of her favourite designers, Emilia Wickstead. The duchess looked radiant in the pastel purple dress (aptly named the 'Kate'), which showed off her figure with its fit-and-flare design.

She carried a sweet little croc 'Mayfair' bag by Aspinal of London, which boasts a $1300 price tag and perfectly matched her look on the warm autumn day. The mother of three anchored her outfit with a trusty pair of beige 'Gianvito 105' pumps by Gianvito Rossi - the same shoes she wore with the dress while on tour in Poland and Germany in 2017.

The Duchess of Cambridge had a big laugh alongside her husband while helping to paint a mural at the event with artist Dairo Vargas. Art history grad Kate joked, "where can I hide it" about her contribution to the live art piece before William teased, "It's almost ruined the picture." He then said, "No, this is probably how you ruin a picture" and added his own mark.

Kate listened intently as her husband spoke to officials at the event. The aim of the initiative is to help improve mental health around the world, a cause that the royal parents work on through their various patronages and their Heads Together initiative, which they launched with Prince Harry in 2016.

The couple took a seat on a Zimbabwean Friendship Bench while at the event, an innovative creation that has helped
elderly people become lay health workers. The couple shared a sweet laugh and a rare display of affection as Prince William sweetly rested a hand on Kate's leg.
