Jessica Mulroney travels a lot for her work as as wedding consultant, stylist and spokeswoman, from stunning wedding destinations in the Caribbean to quick jaunts to New York. But Meghan Markle's bestie is about to circle the globe to join her friend and Prince Harry Down Under while the couple is on tour. Jessica's husband, etalk anchor Ben Mulroney, shared the news last week on his Insta Story, revealing that they'll be adding one more stamp to their passports: Australia!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first official overseas tour kicks off on Monday (Oct. 15) in Sydney, and the couple is due to attend the opening ceremony of Harry's Invictus Games on Oct. 19. Fans will remember that Jessica attended the Toronto Invictus Games with Meghan last year, so supporting their friends' initiative – a multi-sport event for injured and wounded military veterans – is the main reason the parents of three be traveling Down Under.
According to the Daily Mail, their attendance is unofficial, meaning they aren't part of the Sussexes' team but rather paying their own way there. It's not known whether they'll bring their three children along, all of whom were part of Meghan's bridal party at her royal wedding this past May. Ivy, 5, was a bridesmaid and twin pageboys Brian and John, 8, famously held Meghan's veil as she walked down the aisle at St George's Chapel.
Royal watchers, who will be eagerly following Meghan and Harry's 16-day tour to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga, may also have noticed that Harry and Meghan's 10-person entourage doesn't include a stylist. Having reportedly helped the duchess with her wardrobe for past events, including her two-day trip to Ireland this summer, it would make sense if Jessica also lends a hand in the fashion department while on the road. And Meghan's incredible looks since joining the Royal Family are proof that this trip will be one for the fashion books!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first big tour is going to be a busy one, boasting 76 engagements over two weeks, so it's no surprise they have quite the team to help deal with day-to-day tasks, from hairstyling to communications. Though it hasn't been confirmed, it's believed that George Northwood – celebrity hairstylist to the likes of Kate Winslet and Julianne Moore – will be tagging along, as well as Australian Samantha Cohen as their private secretary, five members of staff for communications, Meghan's trusted assistant, Amy Pickerill, and another personal assistant to help keep them organized throughout the tour.
