The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have started their first overseas royal tour with quite the bang! On Monday (Oct. 15), royal watchers were overjoyed for the couple after Kensington Palace released a statement announcing their pregnancy. But now they're wondering what the name choices could be for the duo's first child together!

Though no exact due date has been confirmed, it's believed that Meghan is around 12 weeks pregnant with their first bundle of joy. Adding to the mystery is the gender of their child, which fans of the Royal Family likely won't know until much closer to their due date or when Baby Sussex is born ... But that hasn't stopped anyone from speculating on names!
Back when the former actress ran her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig, she mentioned that one of her favourite baby names is Grey, which could work for a boy or a girl. And while it's quite an unusual name for a royal baby, some fans are wondering whether the Sussexes will actually follow the royal standard when it comes to naming their child, who will be seventh in line to the throne – after all, the two have certainly veered from royal protocol in the past.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes make Samantha a 100-1 outside bet for the royal baby name. Most bookies make traditional royal names eg Alice, Arthur, Philip, Victoria - and, of course, Diana - their early favourites.— Richard Palmer (@RoyalReporter) October 15, 2018
As with all things royal, bookies are already taking bets on what beautiful name they'll choose – and most are going the more traditional route, with Alice, Arthur, Philip, Victoria and, of course, Diana taking a lead after Samantha, which has a 100-1 bet! Given their future baby's proximity to the throne, It's likely that the duke and duchess will opt for a more traditional name, but only time will tell – perhaps Meghan will get to pay tribute to her own family with their name choice.
In the meantime, Prince Harry and Meghan have just checked off another milestone by embarking on their first-ever overseas royal tour together, which will see them stop in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga. Holding hands as they arrived in Sydney after a 22-hour flight, it's now clear why the couple looked so happy and excited! The 16-day tour is bound to be a whirlwind of events (76, in fact!), now made even sweeter by this incredible news.
